First in China! | ESTUN Robotics obtains TÜV Rheinland CE Machinery Directive and Functional Safety Compliance Certificate
On April 26, 2024, TÜV Rheinland Group (hereinafter referred to as "TÜV Rheinland"), as an internationally leading independent third-party testing, inspection and certification organization, issued the CE Machinery Directive and Functional Safety Compliance Certificate for ESS (ESTUN Safety Solution) products to ESTUN Automation Co., Ltd. This marks that ESTUN has made rapid progress in building a comprehensive robot functional safety product system. This certification not only demonstrates ESTUN's innovative strength and professional level in the field of robotics technology, but also reflects its strict control and commitment to product safety and quality, and will further enhance ESTUN's service quality and efficiency in the global market.
Obtaining TÜV Rheinland's Machinery Directive compliance certification means that ESTUN's robot product design complies with EN ISO 10218-1:2011 and EN60204-1:2018 standards, which can effectively reduce potential risks in robot operation and improve the reliability and safety of the production process. This achievement not only helps to enhance ESTUN's competitiveness in the global market, but also sets a new safety benchmark for the domestic robot industry to go overseas and promote the healthy development of the entire robot industry.
With the support of ESTUN's ESS functional safety platform, the industrial robot has completed functional safety certification, and a total of 12 safety functions have passed ISO13849 PL d, Cat.3 certification, covering key safety functions such as safe emergency stop (category 1 stop), safe protective stop (category 1 stop), stationary monitoring (category 2 stop), tool speed monitoring in Cartesian coordinate system, safe low-speed monitoring in teaching mode, robot six-axis speed/position detection, and safe area monitoring. At the same time, the ESS functional safety series products also support the PROFIsafe safety communication protocol to further adapt to the integration requirements of high-density production lines such as automobile manufacturing. In the future, ESTUN will continue to improve the coverage of ESS safety kits and make ESS functional safety optional for the entire series of industrial robots.
In 2024, ESTUN will continue to integrate international resources, accelerate the global business layout, and create an international standard system in various links such as design, manufacturing and operation with an agile organization and an excellent quality assurance system, so as to provide global users with high-quality, high-safety robot products and intelligent complete solutions.
