Estun Codroid Participates in Launch of First Batch of National Standards for Humanoid Robots
On May 15, 2025, the launch meeting for the first batch of national standards series for humanoid robots, hosted by the National Technical Committee for Robotics Standardization (SAC/TC 591), was successfully held at Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. Leaders from regulatory authorities including the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), along with experts from research institutes and enterprises, attended the meeting. The conference officially initiated the first batch of national standard projects for humanoid robots and announced the conveners and composition lists for each standard.

Mr. Liu Dashan, Director of the Department of Standard Technology under SAMR, emphasized in his address that "standardization is a core driver" for advancing the standardized development of the humanoid robot industry and enhancing its global competitiveness. Mr. Qin Xiugong, Assistant Director of the Productivity Promotion Center at Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., provided a comprehensive overview of national standard formulation requirements and details of the inaugural humanoid robot standards.
As a participating member unit, Estun Codroid actively contributed to the proceedings. The company’s representatives engaged in discussions on core draft standards—such as technical specifications and requirements for humanoid robot simulation testing platforms—and provided actionable recommendations to refine the frameworks, drawing on Estun Codroid’s extensive R&D expertise in robotics.
The successful convening of this launch meeting marks China’s formal entry into a phase of standardized development for humanoid robots. The systematic establishment of this standards system will accelerate industry standardization, providing vital support for technological innovation and the expansion of application scenarios.
