Gerald Mies, President and CEO of Estun Robotics Europe, Attends the “Nanjing Day” Event in Stuttgart to Deepen China–Germany Industrial Collaboration through Intelligent Manufacturing
On March 2 (local time), the 2026 “Nanjing Day” Economic and Trade Promotion Conference was successfully held in Stuttgart, Germany. The event was jointly organized by the Nanjing Municipal People’s Government and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Frankfurt, focusing on industrial matchmaking and pragmatic cooperation.

As an important representative of Nanjing enterprises expanding in Europe, Gerald Mies, President and CEO of Estun Robotics Europe, was invited to attend the event. During the roundtable forum, he shared insights on China–Germany cooperation in intelligent manufacturing and the development trends of the robotics industry.
As a key emblem of Nanjing’s advanced manufacturing sector, Estun has continued to deepen its presence in the European market in recent years, playing an active role in promoting China–Germany industrial collaboration and the integration of technological innovation. The event coincided with the 30th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Nanjing and Stuttgart. The two cities share strong alignment in fields such as high-end equipment manufacturing, the automotive industry, automation, and green transformation, creating broad opportunities for corporate cooperation.
Focusing on Intelligent Manufacturing and Advancing Collaborative Innovation

In an interview with the media, Gerald Mies, President and CEO of Estun Robotics Europe, stated:
“Today, the number of robots installed in China far exceeds that of Germany. In the field of automation and robotics automation, China ranks third, while Germany ranks fourth. The stock of robots in China’s production sector is already significantly higher than in Germany. For companies operating in the industrial sector—especially for a company like ours from Nanjing—it is clearly of crucial importance that the German Federal Chancellor continues to maintain relations with China and works to expand and facilitate Germany–China and Europe–China trade as much as possible.”
Accelerating Global Expansion and Deepening Integration with International Markets
As global digitalization and intelligent transformation continue to advance, the robotics market is experiencing steady growth. Estun is accelerating the implementation of its global strategy. In October 2024, Estun established its European headquarters in Switzerland to comprehensively coordinate regional business development. It has also set up branch offices in major European economies, achieving broad business coverage across the region.
In 2025, Estun successfully completed the construction of its manufacturing base in Poland, forming a localized operational system that integrates R&D, sales, service, and manufacturing. In 2026, Estun will be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the first company in China’s industrial robotics sector to achieve an A+H share listing. Leveraging Hong Kong’s advantages as an international financial center, the company will connect with global capital and industrial resources to accelerate the expansion of its international brand and business presence.
In addition, supported by its global R&D system, Estun has established an industrial robot product portfolio covering payload ranges from 3 kg to 1200 kg. These products have obtained multiple international certifications, including CE and UL, fully meeting the high standards of the European and global markets.
Amid the ongoing restructuring of global supply chains, Estun provides intelligent core components and comprehensive industrial robot solutions for leading enterprises in industries such as lithium batteries, automotive, metal processing, home appliances, and construction machinery. These solutions help companies improve quality and efficiency while ensuring the rapid implementation of projects. At the same time, taking into account the industrial characteristics of different regional economies, Estun collaborates with partners in Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia to jointly develop solutions tailored for multi-category, small-batch production.
